Tech Music School

I have been teaching drums for the past six years both privately and in schools. I feel very fortunate for currently being one of the teacher at Tech Music School (formerly Drumtech).
After completing my diploma, I was offered a teaching position with the opportunity to carry on my studies and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Music Performance with Thames Valley University in 2010.

The Drum Drill

The DrumDrill is a weekly workshop that I run with my drummer friend Philippe Castermane, from our studio in Chiswick, London. Focusing essentially on Hands Routines, it is about effective practice while having fun.

It is not a drum lesson on rudiments or stick control as such but more a collective practice routine where we go hands-on and all encourage each other.

The workshop runs as two seperate one-hour sessions. The first hour focuses on Warming up, Ergonomic, Grip and Building Vocabulary. The second hour focuses on applying and expending the vocabulary into organised practice routines.

The Process

1. Submit Your Song

Submit an mp3 of your track(s). Whether it is a voice & guitar demo or a completely produced track with programmed drums the important thing is that we get a clear sense of the overall vibe and have a clear outline of the form.

2. Cost

Give us a couple of days to listen to your track and come back to you with a quote and schedule for the recording.

3. 40% Deposit

Once we have agreed upon a budget and the terms of the recording, you are required to authorize a payment of 40% via PAYPAL or electronic bank transfer so we can get started making music!

4. Rough Mix Take

Once we have a couple of takes we think works according to your guidelines - previously discussed - we will send you an mp3 for your approval. We then discuss any changes and we make necessary adjusments you require. This will result in comping the existing takes or recording an extra one.

5. Complete Track and Payment

Once we get your final approval you will authorize a payment for the remaining 60%. After receiving full payment, we will email you a link to download all the seperate files of the drum takes. We can provide the tracks as processed or unprocessed and in whatever file format you prefer. [separator]
